Meet Your Host in Japan
If you’ve been wanting to visit Japan- definitely connect with Tomoko in Sado City!
“I enjoy yoga, walking, cycling, driving along the coast, between the rice fields, forest on the hills. I also enjoy visiting entrepreneurs in the community to exchange updates.
We are so blessed to enjoy varieties of locally grown healthy food on this island. My main work this year is to host women travelers/homestayers, share yoga practice, coordinate local events and assist friends' work in the community. I have a part time job for a few hours in the evening on Mons-Weds (except mid July - end of August).
Guests would enjoy the island life - adding to the activities with me, she may enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, small boat ride in the sea, hiking/trekking in the mountains, visiting local ethnic museums, joining pottery, weaving and other workshops organized by the local communities. Friends of mine would be happy to offer Japanese conversation lessons, kimono fitting, Japanese calligraphy, flower arrangements, etc.
I’m excited to host in HerHouse because staying with me will enhance the traveler’s feeling of wellness I have from practicing yoga, the nature and produce of this island, generosity of the community to share their rich experience - I believe those will enrich your journeys.”
